My Art & Craft Values
A 'Home from Home' Studio for Potters, Artists & Creatives
All artists and craftspeople need a designated space in which to create,
to be inspired & free to support their creative process.
If you’re looking for a superb & truly unique studio space that nurtures your own ceramic/ pottery journey,~ Look no further; I'm here to guide you!
This Sussex wooden build studio was originally built as a Photography workshop by a soldier called Harry Sopp, sometime between the Wars. The tiny kitchenette was his dark-room, & there is also an integrated 'Washroom' within the build.
Thanks Harry... I'm forever grateful!
(This is my pottery studio, which is available by appointment for bookings.)
His sisters lived opposite, and I hold a gruesome tale (according to local experts), that their own house had a very grisly name...
(I don't like to spread rumours), but may divulge if pushed!
This Studio holds a soulful, extraordinarily peaceful & authentic vibe.
Historically, it's always been used for creative business'.
Most recently it was owned by 'Loxwood Burners', but now, the chimney flues have been safely sealed up, & the fixtures and fittings completely renewed!
The original log burner boasts warm & true in the reception lounge,
that leads through to the actual pottery workspace.
The interior has been totally transformed, and boasts my own historical & eclectic collection of 'stuff'. It's not just 'stuff' though, it's a consortium of treasure, accumulated within my own life & now housed in this extraordinary creative & curated space.
I hope it inspires you totally!
There is plenty of scope to organise a party or picnic & decoration of the studio too in advance of your party.
It just holds soul. Come to see for yourself!
